PRODUCER PROFILE
Based North-East of Nantes, third generation winemaker Bernard Landron and his brother Jo Landron started winemaking and initially in bulk.
It wasn’t until 2010 when Bernard’s son Benoît returned from University after studying viticulture and oenology, they converted to organic. In 2017 they moved to the town of Oudon to farm the 25 hectares of vines and open a new cellar, and they now have 35 hectares in total.
They have a mix of varieties planted, including Melon de Bourgogne, Folle Blanche, Pinot Gris, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2013 Benoît started making sparkling wines, producing a selection of lively and bright Pet-Nats.
They make wines with freshness and personality; expressing the diverse mix of soils that Muscadet offers – roundness from gneiss, more minerality from schist.
